On Sunday July 12th the Reading and North Reading Slowpitch Softball leagues will be teaming up for the 2nd annual All Star Weekend.

D2 and D3 managers are urged to send in their All Star submissions ASAP.

12:00pm - Home Run Derby Check In
All players participating in the All Star Game can sign in for the second annual Home Run Derby!!

12:30pm - All Star Game
Over 30 players will face off in a battle of North Reading and Reading All Stars. The nine inning game will also feature commentary and live music as well as special players introductions.

1:30pm - Home Run Derby Check In
For players not participating in the game.

2:30pm - Home Run Derby
$15.00 buy in to win over half of the jackpot!! The highlight of last years weekend, over twenty players participate to see who can hit out the most blasts.

3:30pm - Raffle/Cookout
Players from the Reading and North Reading leagues can join for a cookout, raffle winners will also be announced.

The RMSL 2009 Website should be accessed as RMSL 2009 Website. You may have bookmarked “http://www.rmsl-usssa.com/2008/content” which is the website from last year. If you use last years website, you may have problems reporting scores.

The updated 2009 schedules for each division are viewed using the the links above (Division 1, Division 2, etc.). To view the schedule for all divisions, use the link to Full Schedule. Below are links to the original 2009 team schedules (they do not include recent updates). For each division there is a link to a pdf file that has six pages. Each page is the schedule for one team in the division. The master schedule has all games with one page for each week of the season.

Each team has an 18 game schedule with 5 additional make-up games. Each make-up game will be played if a game between the two teams for that make-up game has been previously postponed. The home team for the make-up will be the same as the previously postponed game which may differ from what is listed on the schedule for the make-up game. If additional make-up games are required (i.e. if two games between the same two teams get postponed) the second game will be rescheduled in the time slot of a make-up game that does not need to be played.

Three Division 3 games scheduled on June 28 have been rescheduled on July 12. One Division 5 game scheduled on July 10 has been rescheduled on June 28 and three Division 1 games scheduled on July 10 have been rescheduled on July 19 because of a youth softball tournament scheduled on that day.

There will be discounts for teams that pay on time.

There will be a rebate to help pay for umpires for teams that have a representative at every meeting.

These amounts and how they work will be discussed at the meeting on February 2.

Teams that are not paid by March 30 run the risk of being replaced by a team on the waiting list. Please note this list continues to grow to it is important for teams to get their money in as soon as they can.
